The Hit Play

The 294 Experience was tailored by Marlo Roberson and his team of creators, intertwining theatre, film, art,  spoken word and music, collectively creating this superb dynamic. Marlo was born and raised in Long Island NY. As a high school student, he was fascinated with theatre, He decided to joined the stage crew to learn what it would take, to run a production.  While there he met Jamal Blair who was also eager to learn how things work. Marlo and Jamal started to write a movie together.  The plan was short-lived due to lack of resources,  After a few failed attempts, they went their separate ways. Holding onto the dream is always easier said than done.  Marlo wasn't going to let things go that easy.  After visiting theatres  throughout New York City, he knew exactly what he wanted,   His passion would not die. Marlo noticed that there was a nearby theatre company in the neighborhood. He stopped by Arena Players Repertory Theatre In Farmingdale NY,  where plays were once produced and directed by Frederic De Feis for decades,  only to find that the company had moved. Marlo seized the opportunity and reopened it as Theater 294 (named for its address, 294 Rte. 109).  The rest is history. Theater 294 opened its doors from 2014 to 2019, producing numerous productions such as "To Kill A Mockingbird,"  "The Miracle Worker,"  "The Bad Seed",   and a host of original stage plays, such as "One-Woman Man" and much more.
